Service Terms

The key terms that apply when you book our services.

Please read these terms before confirming a move so you understand how booking, payment, access, and liability are handled.

1

Booking & Deposits

  • A booking is confirmed only once the required deposit has been received.
  • Deposits are generally non-refundable if a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled move.
  • Requested time or date changes are subject to availability.
2

Charges & Payment

  • Charges are calculated hourly unless a fixed price has been agreed in writing.
  • Time starts from arrival at pickup and ends once unloading is completed.
  • A minimum charge may apply depending on the service booked.
  • Final payment is due on the day of the move unless otherwise agreed.
3

Access, Parking & Delays

  • Clients must provide clear and legal vehicle access at each property.
  • Delays caused by parking, restricted access, stairs, lifts, or waiting time may be charged as part of the job.
  • If lift access is required, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure it is available.
4

Goods Preparation

  • Items should be packed and ready prior to our arrival unless packing services are part of the booking.
  • Appliances must be disconnected, drained, and prepared before the move.
  • We are not responsible for damage to goods packed by the client unless caused by our negligence.
5

Liability & Fragile Items

  • We take reasonable care, but minor scuffs or marks can occur during moving, especially in tight access situations.
  • Our Public Liability Insurance applies to covered damage caused by our negligence.
  • Fragile, glass, stone, marble, flat-pack, or self-assembled items are moved with care but may remain at the owner’s risk unless otherwise agreed.
6

Cancellations & Unforeseen Events

  • Late cancellations may result in loss of deposit or an applicable minimum charge.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by weather, accidents, breakdowns, or other events outside our reasonable control.
  • When disruption occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or communicate next steps quickly.
